Prayers

I thought I'd just share a glimpse into a little of what we hope our future holds for us. There is a seminar in Chapel Hill this Saturday that Kate and I are attending, and we hope it will answer a few of our questions. Just keep praying for God's power in this decision. We're leaving everything to Him.

JB, I will be praying for you & Katie as you explore these first steps. We adopted twice through Holt, a Christian agency headquartered in Eugene, OR. It is soooo very important to choose a reputable, experienced agency and it sounds as if you are doing just that.

I will pray that you will both have a sense of God's leading as you seek His will in this decision.

We were never able to birth a baby so I don't know that joy, but I can tell you that receiving each of my sons was a precious day.

Please keep us posted!

I'm so happy to hear you are going to this seminar. Will definitely keep you both in my prayers this weekend and in the months ahead.

It's so exciting to think about another child who may never hear the story of a loving God in an orphanage, getting the chance to be raised by a family such as yours who loves the Lord with all their heart. You know Satan will be attacking you with a vengence, don't you? Don't get discouraged by the overwhelming cost or possibly a long wait....God will see you through.

The youth minister at my church leaves the end of this month to finally get their little China doll. They were told when they applied it would only be a 12-18 month wait.....it's been 3 years now that they have been on this journey. Talk about trying a persons patience!! Follow them on their blog site if you would like - ourjourneytomalia.blogspot.com. They are not regretting any of it as hard as it has been, they know it has all been in God's timing and another precious child is going to know their maker.

Good Luck and I'm praising the Lord today for this post!
