In honor of my 40th birthday yesterday:
Welcome to my body, 40s. The 30s weren't always so kind to it, so I don't have my hopes up for anything different during your visit. I hope you prove me wrong. I would like to live long enough to meet the 50s, but if you are my last decade, I know exactly where I'm headed, so I don't fear my future.
So 40s, please be gentle to me.

You are too funny! Happy Belated Birthday....hope you had a wonderful day.
I can only think of the grand 'ole song that must have been penned by someone much older than us, but I'm relating to more every day.....Sweeter As the Years Go By. I hope your 40's are much sweeter and that God continues to bless you abundantly in the days ahead.
