"For the Lord did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many."

Tomorrow morning can't come soon enough for Aaron. I love that this kid loves school. He must have inherited that one from Kate. I was the kid who never wanted summer to end. First day of school tomorrow, and I'm still that little boy who doesn't want summer to end.

I often hear kids say they are ready to go back....what is wrong with them???? Or maybe it's what is finally right about school....that it's a fun learning place these days. I'm like you....I had too many other things to do and explore by living in the country to be bothered with going back to school.
As a kid I was always excited to get back to school--I missed my friends. As a teacher, I have mixed emotions: I love the at-home, less scheduled pace of summer, but I am excited to get back to my friends. I am blessed to work with so many Christians in a public school and each year I am filled with anticipation over what God will do. Wish my own kids were excited about going back. :)
I'm with you: I am simply not ready to give my kids back to school yet! If I didn't love our Catholic school so much, and know that they are giving such a top-notch education to my kiddies, I would seriously be a home-schooler.

By the way, love your classroom rules!
